In Finland and Sweden meeting was held for diplomatic school of Estonia

Young specialists from Eastern Europe - students of the Estonian School of Diplomacy visited Helsinki on March 31 and Stockholm on April 20-21 this year. Among them were 4 young Georgians: George Goletiani - third secretary of the Department of International law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lika Akhalbedashvili - specialist of the visa section of the Consulate Department, MFA, Mariam Tsitsishvili- specialist on the International Cultural Relations and George Tabagari - international correspondent of “24 Saati” newspaper. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden with co sponsorship of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Finland and Estonia supported the 9 month education program that gives young diplomats from the Eastern Europe opportunity to study at the above mentioned school. Traditionally, these courses include visits to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Finland and Sweden. On March 31, by the end of the program, in Helsinki, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland meeting was held with students of the Estonian School of Diplomacy. On April 20-21, seminars and meetings were held at the Embassy of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, at the Prime-Minister’s office and in other governmental institutions. The main subject of the meetings was the discussion on the basic priorities and preparation process for Swedish EU presidency. On April 20, meeting was held with the students of Estonia School of Diplomacy at the Embassy of Estonia in Sweden. Representatives of the Embassy of Georgia participated in the meetings held both in Helsinki and Stockholm and expressed gratitude to the organizers and hosts for sharing their knowledge and experience with the students as well as promoting their professional skills.
