The Georgian Foreign Ministry conveys its condolences to the Latvian people

The Georgian Foreign Ministry wishes to express its deep sorrow over the death of tens of people after the roof of a supermarket collapsed in the Latvian capital Riga on the 21st of November 2013.

The Ministry conveys its condolences to the Latvian people - particularly to the families of the victims.

In connection with the tragedy in Riga, Maia Panjikidze sent a letter of condolences to her Latvian counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs. The letter reads as follows:

\\\"I was deeply shocked to hear about the terrible accident in Riga, which claimed lives of dozens of citizens and left many more injured. At this time of painful loss, I wish you all strength and fortitude and hope for a full recovery of those injured\\\".
