Meeting with Elinor Hammarskjöld, director of the Directorate General of Legal Affairs of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress achieved on the path of Georgia's European integration, the aspects of legal rapprochement with the European Union, and the current situation in the occupied territories of Georgia. Also, the conversation touched on the further strengthening of cooperation between Sweden and Georgia within the framework of international organizations.
The Swedish diplomat, for her part, positively assessed the existing relations between the two countries and emphasized Sweden's strong support for the territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
The Ambassador of Georgia once again congratulated the Swedish side on the success achieved on the path to joining NATO and the transition to the final stage.
