Hosting Archbishop Elia of Finland

On August 21, 2025, Ambassador Khutsurauli hosted Archbishop Elia, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Finland, at the Embassy.

The meeting focused on deepening cultural and humanitarian ties. The Ambassador briefed the Archbishop on Georgia’s historical heritage, emphasizing the significance of ancient Georgian cloisonné enamel icons currently preserved in the Museum of the Orthodox Church of Finland. Both parties agreed to continue their cooperation.
