The official handover ceremony of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Cyprus to Ireland

On June 30, 2026, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Sweden, Irakli Khutsurauli, attended the official handover ceremony of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Cyprus to Ireland, held in Stockholm.

The event was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the EU member states and candidate countries accredited to Sweden.

Following the ceremony, the ambassadors had an opportunity to exchange views and engage in a Q&A session with the representatives of the incoming EU presidency country
